The Madeline Pickett (Halbert) Cogswell Nursing Scholarship, in the amount of $2,500, is awarded to two students who are accepted or enrolled in an accredited school of nursing. Applicants must be members, descendant of members or be eligible for membership in NSDAR. The DAR member number must be in the Application.

Eligibility Criteria

- Application must include DAR member number of a dues-paying member (if applicable)
Application Process
- Complete the Madeline Pickett (Halbert) Cogswell Nursing Scholarship application form
- Submit documentation of acceptance or enrollment in an accredited nursing program
- Provide the DAR member number of your mother if she is a current dues-paying NSDAR member
- Send all required materials to the DAR Scholarship Committee, optionally with assistance from a chapter or state chairman
