Competition is open to students in residence at a university in Washington, Oregon and Idaho who are enrolled in a visual arts MFA program. Students must have completed at least one term and have at least one term remaining in their program. Selection will be based on artistic merit. No award will be made if the judges agree no candidate meets appropriate standards.
Your application must include: Artist’s statement (250 words or less; Documentation from your registrar of
current status in an appropriate master’s program; One-page Curriculum Vitae; 6 to 12 images of your work (in JPEG format maximum size 500 KB each); and a separate document identifying each image with title, size, medium and date completed. The Allied Arts exhibit is to include the work represented in your application. Additional
work may also be exhibited as space allows. The Allied Arts Association reserves the right to refuse artwork for any reason.
