Scholarship Description
The Antioch Garden Club is offering a scholarship to students majoring in Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Design, Botany, Plant Pathology, Forestry, Agronomy, Environmental Concerns, City Planning, Land Management and/or allied fields of study. Applicants must be residents of Antioch Township or neighboring communities, a high school senior, undergraduate student, or a returning adult student at a two or four-year college or university.
Apart from completing the application, applicants must also submit a recommendation letter (from a source other than a relative), attach an official transcript and complete a personal statement essay (500 words or less) discussing your background, future goals, and commitment to chosen career. The essay must be typed, or computer generated using 12-point double spaced type. This scholarship named after Nancy Zitkus, who is a founding member of AGC and a dedicated former treasurer of the club.
