The American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science – Minnesota (ASCLS- MN) announces the availability of scholarships for students enrolled in Minnesota based Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technician programs. Applicants must be enrolled in a NAACLS accredited Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technician programs located in Minnesota sponsored by a college/university accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools or hospital-based program that leads to a degree or certificate in Medical Laboratory Science/Clinical Laboratory Science. Applicants must also have a minimum 2.7 GPA and demonstrate financial need. Dollar amounts will vary, although they are no less than $500.
The notification of the scholarship awards will be made in July. Scholarship dollars will be received in September when students have returned to their school/hospital for the academic year. Scholarship dollars must be returned to the Committee if the educational program is not completed. The application will not be considered complete until the application form and two reference letters are submitted (one must be from a science professor or program faculty advisor, and the other must come from the program director).
