WAPA Scholarship Program
September 15, 2023
- Scholarship Description
Physician assistants receive a broad medical education. Because of the close working relationship the PAs have with physicians, PA education is designed to complement medical training. Criteria for admission to a PA program include previous health care experience and completion of a variety of basic science as well as other general courses. Basic admission requirements for PA programs include at least two years of college and prior clinical health care experience. The typical applicant has previously received a bachelor’s degree and over four years of health care experience.
The WAPA Scholarship Program provides assistance to PAs, PA students and others who are committed to improving health, education, outreach and furthering the PA profession. Up to five scholarship awards are available each year. Applicants must be physician assistant students attending a school in Wisconsin. Individual scholarship criteria varies. Applications are due each year by September 15th. Available awards and scholarships are listed on the scholarship providers' website. For more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.
