Scholarship Details
- Award amount: $1,000
- Funds may be used for books, supplies, or other academic expenses
- Scholarship funds will be sent directly to the recipient via check

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a first-generation graduate student (parents did not attend or complete a four-year college degree)
- Must be enrolled or pre-enrolled in a graduate program in the United States
- Must be a U.S. resident
- Essay and application must be submitted in English
Application Process
- Complete the scholarship application form.
- Submit a 900-word essay addressing:
- Examples of your academic success.
- How access to resources (such as family support and financial resources) relates to education.
- Submit all required materials by May 1st.
- Scholarship recipient will be notified via email in July.
Additional Requirements for the Scholarship Recipient
- Provide a headshot photograph within 10 days of notification.
- Sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, General Release and Liability Waiver, Proof of Enrollment, Media Release, and a completed W9 form.
- Agree to have your name, photo, and essay featured in an Editor World press release and marketing communications.
- Scholarship funds will be issued within four weeks of notification.
Important Terms
- Only one application per student will be considered.
- Scholarship is non-transferable.
- All applicable taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.
- Editor World reserves the right to modify the scholarship program at any time.
