This scholarship is in memory of Andie Mae G. Carpenter, our daughter and best friend. Andie passed away unexpectedly at age 20 from complications from VEDS (Vascular Ehlers Danlos Syndrome). Andie was almost done with her degree in Radiological Technologies. Andie was a great student and when she was looking for scholarships we were surprised that none existed for people with rare diseases such as VEDS.
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must have an official VEDS (Vascular Ehlers Danlos Syndrome) diagnosis from a medical professional. You must provide written documentation of this to be considered for the scholarship. There is a short application to complete and email to us on our website. You must be pursuing classes in higher education. You must be a United States resident. Upon being selected for the scholarship, you must provide your college schedule showing proof you are enrolled before funds are distributed.
