Education is vital to the growth and future of every community. Because of this, the Saginaw Community Foundation administers a variety of scholarship programs for high school, community college, university and vocational students. Since awarding our first $500 scholarship in 1987, the Saginaw Community Foundation has awarded more than $8 million in scholarships. To be eligible for the Casting Your Future - UAW Local Scholarship, applicants must: be a high school senior or college student; be pursuing an undergraduate degree or Career and Technical Education (CTE) training (skilled trade/vocation); be attending an accredited college, trade or Career and Technical Education (CTE) training (skilled trade/vocation) school (either part or full-time); demonstrate financial need; have a 2.0 GPA for high school students, minimum 2.5 GPA for college students; and be a resident of Michigan. Dollar amounts for the scholarship will vary.
