To apply for a scholarship, students must start their junior or senior year in the upcoming Fall and be enrolled at an accredited university in Connecticut or be a Connecticut resident enrolled in an accredited university in any state or country studying journalism. Winner’s checks will be made out to student’s account, care of their school or bursar’s office.

- Scholarship funds are disbursed directly to the student's school account.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be entering junior or senior year in the coming fall.
- Enrolled at an accredited university in Connecticut or a Connecticut resident enrolled anywhere.
- Studying journalism or a related field.
Application Process
- Fill out the online application form.
- Submit work samples as PDFs or other files.
- Write and submit a 500-word essay on a current event that has significantly captured your interest, discussing your engagement with the event and its impact on you.
The application and any accompanying files including transcripts must be received by 11:59 p.m. on the day of the deadline listed. Awards may not be given if applicants do not meet the competition’s standards.
