The Cumberland Farms Believe and Achieve Scholarship Program has been established to recognize the importance of education and provide support to Cumberland Farms customers' and employees' children who plan to continue education in college or vocational school programs.
Applicants must:
• Be high school seniors, or recipients of a GED certificate up to the age of 25, who plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university or vocational-technical school. Students must be entering their first year of undergraduate study in the fall 2014.
• Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent), or a GED minimum standard score average of 500.
• Reside within a 30 mile radius of a Cumberland Farms retail location. Children of full-time or part-time Cumberland Farms, Inc. employees who meet the first two eligibilities are also encouraged to apply, regardless of residence location.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances and an outside appraisal. Financial need will be considered; all recipients must demonstrate need.
Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin. Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship Management Services. In no instance does any officer or employee of Cumberland Farms, Inc. play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
