To apply for the Margaret & Max Pumphrey Scholarship, applicants must be a current graduating senior (or GED recipient) or a former graduate of a high school in Lancaster County. It is preferred that applicant plan to attend an accredited two-year or four-year university or college in Nebraska. The applicant must demonstrate financial need and must apply for student financial aid at the institution he/she will be attending before approaching the Lincoln Community Foundation for assistance. Recipients of this scholarship may continue receiving funding in subsequent years (up to 4 consecutive years), provided they continue to meet the aforementioned criteria. The number of available awards and dollar amounts will vary.
