The Matt Heuertz Scholarship Program, honoring the first CCAI Executive Director who served 16 years, provides funding for selected students that meet program requirements. Administered by the CCAI Finishing Education Foundation (CCAI FEF), its primary objective is to encourage education that could lead to a career in finishing and coating technology.
Scholarship Details
- Provides funding for students interested in the finishing/coatings industry
- Named in honor of the first CCAI Executive Director, Matt Heuertz
- Award amounts vary, with a maximum of $5,000 (Jim Gallagher Award)
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to high school seniors and current university or technical college students
- Minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Enrolled in a program relevant to industrial finishing/coatings industry careers
Application Process
- Submit a completed scholarship application along with grade verification
- Include an essay detailing career objectives and interest in finishing
- Provide extra-curricular, interests, community involvement information, and a reference letter
The scholarship application program opens in January each year and closes in early spring. If you have applied for the scholarship previously, a new letter of recommendation as well as a significantly updated essay that details what you’ve learned and how you’ve developed since your previous application are required.
