The Simon Scholar Physician Assistant Program at Chapman University creates pathways for under-served students facing adversity by offering full-tuition scholarships. The scholarship awards will also support first-generation college students. This scholarship program is intended for eligible students who wish to earn their MMS degree at the Chapman University Physician Assistant program.
Eligibility
- First-generation college student
- Underserved background
- Primary residence in Orange or San Diego County
- Economic adversity
- History of personal adversity
- Demonstrated leadership
- History of academic excellence and achievement
- Ongoing community service
- Plans to apply to the Chapman University Physician Assistant Studies Program
Application Process
Step 1.
Fill out and submit the scholarship application form which includes:
- Your personal essay telling us about yourself and why you are applying to the Simon Scholar PA Program.
- Tax Information (All financial need statements will be handled with confidentiality).
- Three required letters of recommendation.
Step 2.
Apply for admission to the Chapman University PA Program using the Central Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA) portal.
Step 3.
Beginning of June of each year, a select group of qualified applicants will be contacted by phone or email, and invited for a scholarship interview.
Step 4.
Complete the scholarship interview process.
Step 5.
You will be notified of your scholarship application decision. Scholarships will be awarded from June until October.
