Alaysya J.  on 4/13/2022 2:05:44 PM

Hello, my name is Alaysya (A-lay-sha) I am a 20 year old artist who took a Gap year to understand the process and some of the expenses of going to college. I come from a low income family raised by a single mother. I graduated high school with a diploma and certification in the horticulture field but my 1st love is being an artist. My mother has pulled every string possible, working multiple jobs at times to try and secure me financially for when I was ready but life happened. My step sister died from Lupus my graduating year and she didn't have insurance so resources were focused on. I have been accepted to The University of the Arts in Philadelphia and was approved for subsidized and unsubsidized loans along with grants and a scholarship but unfortunately it is not enough to ease the financial burden on us because the amount that is my responsibility is still hard to afford on my own. I want to graduate college debt free and help my mom from getting further in debt.

Skyla H.  on 3/4/2022 2:24:45 PM

Going to college is a big achievement for my family and I, which is even more of a motivation for me to succeed. I will really appreciate the opportunity to win a scholarship, thank you.

Jaelyn P  on 2/1/2022 8:33:03 AM

I am currently applying for this scholarship because I am determined to get a graduate degree in psychology and be able to teach at the collegiate level in my future. I think it is a very important field for people to learn about, especially considering we lack a lot of diversity in this field. I am hoping to win this scholarship in order to help further guide our youth through education.

Nayelis E  on 2/9/2021 1:37:40 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because I come from a low income family, and my minimum wage job wont cover all of the expenses, especially during times like this. I don't want to be deep into dept and would take anything that helps.I am trying my best to save up on my own since my mothers first language isn't english and she is a single mother. I am doing this for her and want to give back, but after college I don't want to be in too much dept after.

I would like to receive this scholarship to help pay off my tuition and achieve my dream career. Throughout high school I've participated in many extra-curricular activities such as, marching band, basketball, tennis, Spanish honor society, yearbook, etc. Being the oldest of my two younger siblings I want to be able to show them that anything is possible with dedication and hard work. Thank you for your time!

I am a 18 year old senior. I got accepted into Bellin College which is a college for people looking to go into the health field. I plan to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. I start school in the fall of this year and being awarded this scholarship would mean so much to me. I come from a pretty big family. I know that my parents are really looking forward for me to become great and this would be such a big motivation for me. I've always achieved for the highest goals academically and personally. I would work and go to school but since COVID, it's been a little rough for me and my family. I'm currently looking for a job so I can find a way to pay for college and pay for an apartment while attending school at the same time. This would be such a big help to me and a big motivation for me.

I am a 17-year old senior who is about to finish high school and is planning to attend a 4 year university to get my bachelors in Criminal Justice to be able to become a CSI. I would like to receive this scholarship because I know that I would not be able to pay my tuition on a university. I am the first generation to go to college and this is all new to me. I am the first born of three of us but my dad has always been the only one working. While my mom stays ho me as a house wife. Knowing that my dad may not have the chance to help me go to my school and studied doesn't make me give up I would love to graduate and help make a change and get justice for the criminals that happen. Especially with this virus going around work has gone down for my dad and as well as us getting sick it was more time at home. I would like to be able to get good money in the future and pay my parents back for what they did and keep doing for me to have a better life. Thank you for listing and I was able to answer some questions.

I am a graduate student from Middle Tennessee State University. Unfortunately, I didn’t into the nursing program because only 100 students our 300 can get into their program so I had to take a different route and graduate in Community and Public Health. I am achieving the a degree, but it wasn’t my passion career, nursing is my passion. I graduate in Dec. 2020, and applied & got accepted Baptist Health Sciences University for the Spring 2021. I was so excited because I was a step closer to becoming a nurse. Unfortunately, I had to cancel all my classes because I didn’t have the funds to cover it. Not even the student loans would cover the tuition. I told them I would keep applying for scholarships, so I can attend in the summer of 2021. I have been discouraged because there has been no hope or no good news on any scholarship I have applied for and I hope this would be my breakthrough.

I am a motivated, aspiring law professional seeking opportunities to learn the skills necessary to be an effective Lawyer after earning a Bachelor of Science in Political Science at Texas A&M University at College Station and acquiring the proper degree, communicating with clients face-to-face, and assisting them with any legal issues. Afterward, I plan on pursuing a Doctor of Juridical Science Degree. As a senior in high school, college is very close and I don't come from a very financially stable family. I would like to receive this scholarship because I know that my family and I won't be able to pay off my college tuition. I am a first-generation student aspiring to get an education and help out my family along with my community.

I am a 15-year old sophomore who is planning to attend the University of Minnesota after HighSchool. I intend to major in Public health or Principal of Biomedical Science (PBS), and later attend the Kent State University of Pediatric Medicine as a med-student. I would like to receive this scholarship because I know that I won't be able to pay off all the tuition needed for the schools of my dream, and I don't want that to hold me back; surprisingly, I don't come from a family with wealth. My mom came to America with eight of my siblings to have a better life and leave a harmful environment. I am determined and willing to work as hard as possible to make my dreams a reality and help people on the way. I am currently in the Health Science Academy in my school and planning to join a Medical club during November. I have tried to participate in more actives and sports, but Covid has been a bit tricky to do so. Thank you for listening and for your time; I hope I answered some questions you have been wondering, stay safe, and have a good day.
