The AIM Center for Independent Living has announced availability of scholarships for tuition, books, or fees for adults living with a certified disability residing in DuPage, Kane, or Kendall counties in IL. Educational Scholarships of up to $1,000 each, are available to disabled applicants seeking two or four year degrees, or trade school. The application requires a one-page essay on "What Independent Living Means to Me".
Applicants must have a documented disability and be pursuing an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree at an accredited college or university or enrolled in a recognized vocational/trade school. Applications may be submitted via email no later than June 15th for fall semester and November 15th for spring semester. The selection committee will review all essays and recipients will be notified by June 30th for fall semester and November 30th for spring semester.
