I am very interested in applying for this scholarship. I have been a classroom teacher for 16 years now and am seeking my Master's Degree as a Library Media Specialist. I want to share the love of books to children even more then I am already doing in my classroom. My desire is to eventually become an elementary school librarian and make coming to the library enjoyable and fun for kids.

I am considering this scholarship and applying. I am a school librarian, just short of my Bachelors degree in Library Science. I have started a church library, where I spread the love of literature to many home schooled children along with the church adults.

I am really thinking of applying for this as I am compiling my graduate choices to obtain my MLS in hopes of working with elementary age children. I hope that by introducing books, mostly picture books and easy readers, to them early that we find them turning to books as resources for learning more about socioeconomic behavior and improving our world.

I am applying because I already started my master in Bilingual Education focus in Special Education at SMU and I need financial aid to finish the second year. My goal is to help students in my community with special needs.
