The Laurel House Social Work Racial Equity Scholarship supports Black and Hispanic students from Connecticut who are pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Work in Connecticut or New York. This scholarship aims to improve access to mental health care in underserved communities of color by empowering future social workers dedicated to social change. Awarded on a one-time basis, the scholarship funds will be paid directly to the recipient’s school to cover tuition, books, and related fees. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and a commitment to advancing racial equity in mental health care.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a Connecticut resident
- Must identify as Black, African American, or Latino
- Must be enrolled in a Master’s of Social Work program in Connecticut or New York

Application Process

- Provide enrollment documentation for a Master’s of Social Work program in Connecticut or New York

Scholarship funds are intended for tuition, books, related fees, and expenses and are paid directly to the graduate school where the applicant is enrolled.
