A one-time preferred amount of $5,000 to deserving female students who are attending medical school. The selection process is based on academic merit with a minimum GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent GPA on the scale used by the applicable educational institution. The recipient may reapply for the scholarship each year, but is not guaranteed the award. All applicants must be citizens of the U.S. and must attend or plan to attend an accredited college or university in the U.S.
This scholarship is provided by the Daughters of the American Revolution. The Daughters of the American Revolution is an organization with a deeply rich history while also being truly relevant in today’s world. More than 1,000,000 women have joined the organization since it was founded over 125 years ago. They became members to honor their heritage as well as make a difference in their communities across the country and the world.
