Scholarship Description

The Graduate & Professional Scholarship Program offers financial assistance to graduate and professional students pursuing degrees in fields like dentistry, law, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, social work, and veterinary medicine. Maryland residents who demonstrate financial need are encouraged to apply for this scholarship to support their educational expenses.

Scholarship Details

  • Awarded to Maryland residents pursuing graduate or professional degrees in eligible fields
  • Minimum award amount of $1,000 per year, maximum of $5,000 per year
  • Renewable for up to eight semesters based on continued eligibility and financial need
  • Funds may be limited and not all eligible students will receive awards

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a Maryland resident with demonstrated financial need
  • Enrolled as a degree-seeking student in an eligible program (full-time or part-time)
  • Must attend an eligible institution, such as University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), University of Baltimore School of Law, The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, or certain Maryland institutions offering qualifying degrees in nursing, social work, pharmacy, etc.
