The Louise C. Nacca Memorial Scholarship for Educational Aid to the Disabled provides financial aid for educational purposes that include college, graduate and professional schools, trade schools and any type of facility that prepares a person with a disability for work. To be eligible, applicants must be a resident of New Jersey, have a permanent physical disability and be between 18 and 45 years old. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need.
Besides a competed application, applicants must also provide: a W-9; a copy of federal identification, including a passport; medical proof of the disability; three letters of recommendation; an acceptance letter from the educational or vocational training facility; complete academic and/or school records for grades 9-12 (if the applicant is college-bound); and Goal Statements including (a) a description of their plans and aspirations, (b) a description of how this scholarship would help them become a contributing member of society and (c) proof of the most recent Federal Income Tax Return from the applicant or parent (if the applicant is a dependent).
