My name is Jonalyn Malinao and Im from the Philippines. I've been looking for someone who can help me continue and reach my goals in life.I am a working students because My parents cant afford me to send from school. I belong to a poor family. I am always worrying on how to pay my tuition fee. Every time when the examination is approaching I always cry because I know I cant easily to pay my tuition fee . and then i find this scholarship program i know that there are lots of people who wants to get this free scholarship program but i do believe that i deserve this scholarship program i am not just a student who is just a student who goes to school but i am a student who is compassion who has the determination and dedication to continue what i want in terms of reaching my dreams and goals in life if i would be given the chance and opportunity have that scholarship program i would do the best thing that i can do not to fail you but to give you the best and the most special thing that i can give you and that is to finish my study and to use that scholarship program that you can give me and i can only hope that i can continue my education with your help. Hi, out of millions of students like me looking up to be blessed by this scholarship I know that there's only a portion of 0.0001% that you'll actually read what I've written; but I'll still take the risk. To be born poor is not your fault but to die poor is your fault" as quoted by Bill Gates. For me yes it is true, but to be given education and to put it into waste is more heartbreaking. I am indeed one of many teenagers born in a poor family. We strive so hard everyday to survive, hoping that education will someday raise us from this uncertainties and somehow have a comfortable life. It is tough, life. That everyday as we struggle to live we would always be tempted to lose grip on hope. But no we won't. I will always strive to find light. This scholarships you are giving us is hope for people like me. I have come all my way here in college and I won't give everything up just because if financial instability. I want to make a change, to make a difference; to have a significant contribution on my time being here on earth. With the right education will only make it possible. I am a second year Architecture student from the Philippines in Lucena City, Quezon Province. I pray to God that you'll shed light and help me on my battle. If I would be the one who will be chosen as one of those lucky Fullbright scholars, I can say that it will be the most and biggest blessing that I will ever have in my whole life. I really want to be one of the blessed students who have a scholarship because it will really stand as a big help to pursue and reach my dreams. I want to become a Registered Nurse someday but we are not that capable enough to sustain my schooling alone and I really need this scholarship that will also stand as a big help to my parents and my family. And one thing is for sure, I will help people someday, I will share whatever I have ‘cause that is what this scholarship made me to be who I am and that is to help also the people who are in need as I get successful. Sharing your blessings is what God wants us to do.

I always remind my self that education is really important as I live in a middle class family here in the Philippine where my parents's income is just enought for our daily sustenance. Currently, I am a 3rd year student taking Bachelor of Science i Business Administration Major in Human Resource Management. I believe I deserve to be selected for one of your program’s scholarships because I am a hard-working student and I will commit myself to effectively take advantage of the opportunity that the scholarships will provide me. I am a consistent honor student since elementary and being one of the scholarship grantees will definitely help me and contributes meaningfully in my future.

A scholarship can make a big difference in my education and in my family. The money from a scholarship helps by allowing to attend the college. in my home country I obtained an associate degree in management. With great pride I started working in a supermarket as an executive assistant and at the same time I used to do community work in the sector where I lived without receiving any merit as payment. in this country I am starting from the beginning with many desires for improvement. for that reason today I am in the first semester of nursing. Which is my greatest goal to obtain my diploma and to be able to help those who need it.

I am a Public Health Nurse from the Philippines. I have enrolled in my masters degree before I entered the world of Public Health. However, due to the hectic schedule and financial incapacity to provide for my tuition, I had to stop. However, I feel the need to further enhance my knowledge and skill especially in Public Health, for me to be able to make a tangible change in my community. I believe this scholarship will help me reach that goal. I am currently managing health programs such as in Tuberculosis and HIV prevention. Although I have made huge strides in the implementation in my community, I believe I can do more with the knowledge that comes with a masters degree in Public Health.

A scholarship can make a big difference in my education. The money from a scholarship helps by allowing me to be more selective in how I spend my free time. I'll be able to maximize the college experience through service-learning, volunteer opportunities and internships. This scholarship is a blessing for me, number one. It means a lot because not only is it helping me with college and I'm very honored to be getting the award. My career goals are teaching psychology ; that is what I will be majoring in. With this scholarship and the need-based grants I have been awarded, I can complete my education and continue to solve problems within my community. These are the areas I plan to serve.
