The Vera R. Campbell Promise Scholarship supports undergraduate students attending higher education institutions in Los Angeles County, CA to participate in IFR field schools. Priority is given to first-generation college students with demonstrated financial need.
Scholarship Details
- Award of up to $5,000 towards IFR field school costs
- Includes one-on-one mentorship with IFR Academic Board members or staff
Eligibility Criteria
- Undergraduate students or recent graduates from Los Angeles County institutions
- Minimum GPA of 2.7 and at least 18 years old by field school start date
- Demonstrated financial need and acceptance into an IFR field school
Application Process
- Complete the Vera Campbell Promise Scholarship application with recommender contact, unofficial transcript, FAFSA SAR or other financial need documentation, and essay responses
- Apply separately to an IFR field school of your choice, keeping a backup option in mind
The Vera Campbell Promise Scholarship offers up to $5,000 towards the cost of an IFR field school, including travel expenses. As a scholarship awardee, you may apply the scholarship to any IFR field school, in the US or internationally.
