My name is Angelina Reyes and I believe that I quality for this scholarship. My grandmother was diagnosed with Stage 4 Mesothelioma. She put up her best fight but sadly passed away in December 2017. My best friend and my hero was taken away from me on December 20, 2017. 5 days before her birthday and Christmas. I have struggled so much dealing with her death it affects me everyday. I know she is proud of me and I am going to school to be a nurse just like we always talked about.

My name is Brandi Isbell, and I believe that I would qualify for this scholarship. My mom was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast cancer, and after chemotherapy she was in remission. However, in 2013, my mom was then diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. She fought for a long painful 8 months, until her body couldn't take it anymore. My bestfriend, hero, and the person I looked into left my world forever on August 9th 2013. There is no doubt that I haven't struggled with her death, but it takes time for things to feel better. I know that my mom would be proud for how far I have come today, and I am so proud to be continuing my education with her spirit along with me. I am currently pursing a Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management.

My name is Peyton and I would like to apply for this scholarship. I had fought stage Four Germ Cell Tumor cancer as a kid. It caused me to push a little harder for the things I want because I am hard of hearing and have some long term medical problems. I go to college, I do color guard and winter guard and I work. I really want to work in the medical field and I think the big reason is because of being a survivor of cancer.

Meagan M  on 12/14/2020 9:01:45 AM

My name is Meagan. I would like to apply for this scholarship as my mom has had cancer since I was two years old. She has had ovarian cancer 6 times now with a full hysterectomy and chemotherapy, as well as breast cancer twice with a double mastectomy. Her cancer has shaped me into a strong individual and a hard worker. I am pursuing my masters in clinical mental health counseling so I can help others.

Connor W  on 10/17/2015 7:53:32 PM

My name is Connor Wiltsie and I am a scholar athlete. I am a cancer survivor who was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma at the age of 8 years old. I have gained a lot of strength from this experience and value the new life I have been given. I hope to become a doctor and give back to those who helped me. My grandfather died of skin cancer and I am hopeful that by becoming a doctor I can someday make a difference in helping to cure this terrible disease.
