Scholarship Description

The Foster G. McGaw Graduate Student Scholarship is being offered to provide financial aid to students in healthcare management graduate programs to help offset tuition costs, student loans and expenses.

Scholarship Details

  • Up to fifteen $5,000 scholarships granted annually
  • For students in their final year of a healthcare management graduate program
  • Funds may be used for tuition, student loans, or related educational costs

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be full-time students pursuing an MHA, MPH, MBA in Healthcare Administration, or a related degree
  • Must be entering the final year of study, with expected graduation between Sept. 1st, and Aug. 31st of the coming academic year
  • Students in the second year of a residency program and doctoral candidates and those currently employed in healthcare management are ineligible
  • Open to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and Canadian citizens
  • Applicants must demonstrate financial need

Application Process

  1. Submit the online application between Jan. 2 and March 31, 2025
  2. Provide a current resume or curriculum vitae
  3. Upload official undergraduate and graduate transcripts
  4. Include three letters of recommendation, with at least one from the graduate program director
  5. Write an application essay covering:
    • Career goals and motivation for entering healthcare management
    • Relevant experience in the field
    • Financial need and how the scholarship will assist
    • Community involvement and volunteer contributions

The application for the scholarship is now open. Applications for the coming academic year will be accepted between Jan. 2 and March 31st. All applicants will be notified about the status of their application by letter in July.
