Colorado Women's Education Foundation (CWEF) is a 501(c)3 that awards scholarships to women of nontraditional age. CWEF depends entirely on donations and wants to do more to empower women. Since its inception, CWEF has provided 650 scholarships to women totaling more than half a million dollars.
Eligible applicants must demonstrate financial need, academic ability, leadership skills, career goals, and community involvement. To be eligible you must be a woman (identify as a woman) at least 25 years of age by May 31st who is and has been a resident of Colorado for at least 12 months prior to the application deadline (You must reside in Colorado while earning your certification or degree.) Must be enrolled in or attending an accredited educational institution of higher learning or vocational training (Applicants can be earning a certification, or associates, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree.) and be able to provide a college or high school transcript showing your cumulative grade point average.
