Applicants for the Women's Empowerment Scholarship must be re-entering or continuing school in order to learn a marketable skill that will lead to economic self-sufficiency. The applicant must identify as a woman and be 25 years of age or older. In order to apply students, must: Currently be enrolled or accepted in Fall and planning to attend next Spring; Live and attend school in Los Angeles County; and meet the application requirements.
A variety of scholarships are available every Fall and Spring term. Students can apply to up to two scholarships and re-apply every semester. Funding is distributed directly to the schools on the following school term. Funds are paid in full and are not fee-specific. Students in their last term are not eligible to apply. The Student Aid Report is no longer required to demonstrate financial need. Financial need will be determined based on essay.
