The Albert Baker Fund provides tuition scholarships to Christian Scientists pursuing degrees or certificates at accredited post-secondary institutions including community colleges, colleges, universities, graduate schools and vocational training programs. Scholarship funds are made payable directly to the educational institution. Apart from the Albert Baker Scholarship (which is $3,500), you may also qualify for an additional $1,500, based on your financial needs. The fund also offers Special Donor-Funded Scholarships, which each have their own criteria.
To qualify for the Albert Baker Fund Scholarships, you must: be a student of Christian Science and a current member of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist; be able to provide a Christian Science reference; have earned a minimum 2.5 GPA for your most recently completed academic term; be a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States or Canada. (Assistance is offered in other countries); be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution; and have financial need, as shown in your FAFSA / CSS. Allow a minimum of 4-6 weeks for your application to be processed.
