  • Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation's Science without Borders Challenge is an international art competition that encourages students to pursue the preservation, protection, and restoration of the world's oceans and aquatic resources.
    The Science without Borders Challenge was created to get students and teachers interested in ocean conservation through various forms of art. SWB Challenge is open to primary and secondary school students 11-19 years old, with scholarships of up to $500 awarded to the winning entries. I am applying for this scholarship because I find marine biology intriguing and believe it is very important the we conserve what is left of the unpolluted ocean not only for marine life but also for the world. One way to do so it to spread awareness through what many people love and can relate to, art.

The ocean has always been one of my favorite places. I have always felt connected to the life it brings upon the earth. This is a great way to bring attention to the necessity of our marine life and the ocean!

Amazon Offers $40K Future Engineer Scholarships

E-tail giant Amazon is now accepting applications to its Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship Program for students entering college in the fall of 2020. NC Senator Proposes Taxing of Athletic Scholarships

In response to the NCAA's vote to allow athletes to profit from their names, images and likeness, Senator Richard Burr of North Carolina has proposed taxing those scholarships. Senator Burr tweeted: "If college athletes are going to make money off their likenesses while in school, their scholarships should be treated like income. I'll be introducing legislation that subjects scholarships given to athletes who choose to 'cash in' to income taxes." [...]

Gucci Gaffe Results in Green for Grads

Gucci is releasing a new line of... diversity undergraduate scholarships for students who are "traditionally underrepresented in the fashion industry." The 1.5 million U.S. university college scholarship program is set to run for four years, targeting students who attend four-year universities.
