Music for Youth was the creation of Marianne Liberatore and friends with the goal of bringing classical music, professionally performed, into the lives of young people in Fairfield County. This competition is in honor of Marianne and the gift of music she gave to our community through the Free Young Persons’ Concerts and school residency and exchange programs.
First Prize: $1,500
Second Prize: The Karl Koss Memorial Award: $500
The Dorothy Straub and Robert Genualdi Scholarship is awarded to motivated students identified during the school year who plan to continue their music studies over the summer. The scholarship has been established in memory of Dorothy Straub and Robert Genualdi who did so much to enrich the lives of many in their community through music and education.
