Scholarship Description

The College Scholars Program - which has now awarded scholarship to nearly 50 survivors - includes a cancer volunteer project of the student’s choice. Scholars receive support and mentorship from the Children’s Cancer Cause. Past scholarship winners have undertaken projects that include a community bone marrow drive, a podcast for other cancer survivors, and the formation of a campus cancer advocacy organization.

Scholarship Details

  • The scholarships will range in value from $1,500 to $5,000
  • As many as 25 scholarships to be awarded this year
  • Created to support childhood cancer survivors
  • Includes a volunteer project focused on cancer advocacy
  • Scholars receive mentorship and support from Children’s Cancer Cause

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must be a childhood cancer survivor
  • Enrolled or planning to enroll in a college or university for the coming fall semester

Application Process

  1. Complete the online scholarship application and submit with proof of childhood cancer diagnosis.
  2. Provide documentation of college enrollment.
  3. Outline a proposed cancer-related volunteer project.
  4. Applicant must be willing to participate in a cancer advocacy volunteer project
