To be considered for the Seattle Co-Arts Scholarship, applicants must: be currently enrolled in a comprehensive 2-to-4-year fine art program with an emphasis on 2-dimensional work and have completed at least one year of that program by the end of June; be a resident of King, Pierce, or Snohomish County; provide all requested information as well as a resume, letter of recommendation from a current instructor, and five examples of your completed 2-dimensional, hand created fine artwork; and be expected to attend (via Zoom) an interview session and our organization’s Zoom meeting.

Organized in 1949 with Margaret Mattocks as its founding President, Seattle Co-Arts was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1950. In 1988, Seattle Co-Arts honored its founding President by voting to award annual art scholarships to deserving student artists who are currently engaged in furthering their art education towards a career.
