The SVCF K.C. Kinch Scholarship was established in 2017 in memory of Kathleen Carol Kinch, through Ms. Kinch’s will. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to cover college educational expenses of of qualifying students. The selection committee looks for academic promise and documented financial need. The scholarship is intended for East Palo Alto residents who show academic success and demonstrated financial hardship.

Eligibility Requirements
- Current graduating senior residing in East Palo Alto or high school graduate who resided in East Palo Alto during high school
- Planning to enroll or currently enrolled in a two- or four-year college, university, or technical school as a full-time student
- Cumulative GPA between 3.0 and 3.75 on a 4.0 scale
- Demonstrated financial hardship
- Proven community involvement over several years
