The CURE – Cancer Support Scholarship is designated for students who were diagnosed with cancer and whose disease and related treatments placed a significant financial burden on them and their families.
Scholarship Details
- One-time $5,000 scholarship award
- Open to students in all 50 U.S. states
- Supports tuition and education-related expenses at accredited institutions
- Offered by the Lep Foundation and CURE® Magazine
- Submission deadline is June 1, 2025
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a U.S. citizen currently residing in the United States
- Must have been diagnosed with cancer and experienced significant financial burden due to treatment
- Must be accepted to or enrolled in a college, university, community college, or vocational school
- Must demonstrate academic achievement and effort
- Confirmation of cancer diagnosis from a licensed physician required upon award notification
Application Process
- Download and complete the scholarship application form
- Write a one-page essay about your cancer diagnosis, the challenges faced, and your goals
- Include a current official school transcript
- Submit three letters of recommendation from non-family members
