The America’s 911 Foundation, Inc. Scholarship is offered to children of first responders, in honor of those who served on September 11. Applicants must write an essay answering: "What inspired your parents to become a first responder and how could that inspire you?" The individuals receiving the scholarships will be notified by mid June at the latest. Those receiving the scholarships will be posted on the foundation web site after all are notified. The scholarships checks will be issued to the attending school for the recipient in mid July. Applications generally open near the end of November.
