Scholarship Description

The Hyatt Fund Scholarship, established in 1988, provides financial assistance to minority students pursuing a degree in hotel management. With $744,000 awarded to approximately 372 students since its inception, this program reflects Hyatt's dedication to supporting diversity and excellence in hospitality management education.

Scholarship Details

  • Each scholarship award is $3,000.
  • A commemorative plaque is awarded to scholarship winners.
  • No letters of recommendation are required for this application.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Enrollment in at least 12 credit hours for both fall and spring semesters, or just the fall semester if graduating in December.
  • Must be a junior or senior baccalaureate student majoring in hospitality management at an accredited U.S. college or university.
  • Eligible minority groups include African-American, Hispanic, Native American/Alaskan, and Asian/Pacific Islander students.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Application Process

  1. Complete all sections of the Foundation scholarship application form by the specified deadline.
  2. Submit the completed application to be considered for the scholarship award.
