The SCAG Scholarship Program, in partnership with the California Transportation Foundation, awards nine $4,000 scholarships to high school or community college students from the SCAG region. Students of any field of study may apply, with preference for applications that demonstrate a commitment to community planning, regional planning, urban planning, civil engineering, political science, public administration, sustainable development, or related fields.
Scholarship Details
- Scholarship award plus a two-week (80-hour) internship

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a resident of Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, or Ventura County
- Must be a high school junior, senior, or community college student
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Must be available to complete a two-week internship
- Priority given to students interested in urban planning, public policy, environmental planning, engineering, or political science
