The Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance is proud to award financial aid to one student whose life has been impacted by cancer. Applicants who have battled cancer at any point in their lives (not limited to mesothelioma) are eligible to apply as well as those who have a parent, sibling, immediate family member or close friend that has battled or is currently fighting cancer. Applicants must be enrolled full-time at an accredited two- or four-year university, community college or junior college, or a graduate degree program and have a minimum GPA of 3.2 or higher to be eligible.
Students who submit full applications will be considered for the Mesothelioma.com Scholarship. The application process is broken down into four steps: determining your eligibility, writing an essay, compiling your additional documents and correctly formatting and submitting your application. In addition to completing the application and essay, applicants must also submit an unofficial transcript, proof of enrollment, a recommendation letter and a list of honors and volunteer work. The applicant who is chosen to be the recipient will be notified no later than the beginning of May.
