Wells Fargo has established a scholarship program to assist Wells Fargo employees’ dependent children who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
Scholarship Details
- Awards range from $1,000 to $3,000 based on financial need
- Renewable for continued academic performance, enrollment, and parental employment
- Undergraduate awards renewable for up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned
- Graduate awards renewable for up to one year or until a graduate degree is earned
- Maximum total of six awards (up to four undergraduate and two graduate)
- Applicants not selected may reapply each year if eligibility is maintained
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be a dependent child, age 26 or under, of a U.S.-based Wells Fargo employee, domestic partner, or affiliate with at least one year of continuous employment
- Dependents of employees on approved leave or laid off will be considered
- Must be a current high school senior, high school graduate, undergraduate, or graduate student
- Must be enrolled or planning to enroll full-time at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the U.S. for the upcoming academic year
- Previous recipients may reapply if they have not exceeded four undergraduate awards or two graduate awards
Application Process
- Confirm eligibility as a dependent of a Wells Fargo employee with required employment status
- Gather necessary academic and personal documentation
- Complete the online application administered by Scholarship America
- Submit financial need information to determine award amount
- Reapply annually if seeking renewal and eligibility requirements are still met
Applicants will be notified in late May. Check your email regularly. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.
