The Greater New Orleans Hotel & Lodging Association collaborates with The University of New Orleans and Delgado Community College to support the next generation of hospitality leaders. Through continuing education, seminars, and professional certifications, this scholarship program provides students with the opportunity to pursue careers in the dynamic field of hospitality while fostering leadership and professional development.
Scholarship Details
- Supports students pursuing hospitality or related fields
- Offered to students accepted to or enrolled at the University of New Orleans or Delgado Community College
- Focuses on fostering leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
- Application packet must be postmarked no later than Thursday, May 25th
Eligibility Criteria
- Must have an overall minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.5
- Must be a high school junior or senior in one of the following parishes: Orleans, Jefferson, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, St. Charles, St. John the Baptist, Iberville, Tangipahoa, or St. James
- Must enroll in hospitality or a related field
- Must be accepted to or enrolled at the University of New Orleans or Delgado Community College
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude, teamwork, and effective communication skills in a paid or volunteer position
Application Process
- Complete the scholarship application form
- Provide documentation demonstrating your GPA and acceptance to or enrollment in an eligible program
- Answer application questions showcasing your attitude, teamwork, and communication skills
- Ensure the application packet is complete and postmarked no later than Thursday, May 25th
- Mail the application packet to the specified address
