My parents adopted me at the age of 20 months from YuLin City, Shaanxi Province, PRC in the fall of 2002. I am 19 years old and currently finishing my first year of college. I am on the Dean's List this past semester. My goal is to complete my college degree and work in the field of business and marketing. Our family is financially stable but my parents are both retirement age, so we are looking for opportunities to help with the cost of my college education. I am working two part-time jobs to help with college expenses, but we still need to pursue other opportunities for financial assistance. Thank you for considering my request to apply for this scholarship.

Currently a high school senior class of 2020. Having been diagnosed with a neurological disorder (TS), I anticipate with hope to receive a scholarship that not lifts up the burden of personal finances for my family but to allow myself the focus on pursuing a career in finding a cure through the studies of Neuroscience. My goal is to one day find a better cure/solution to those that are affected by Neurological diseases especially mine as there is no cure currently.

Hello, I am Mariel. I am a 12th grader (class of 2020) at Temescal Canyon High School in Lake Elsinore, CA. Receiving this scholarship would not only pay for 2 years at my dream school but it will also help me chase my dreams of joining the FBI to join Behavioral Analysis. It would be a dream come true to provide justice to those who deserve it. Coming from a family with severe financial needs has put a strain on my decisions to go to college. I just wish to attend a four-year university and pursue my dream career.

Being Filipino, there’s not much scholarships for me out me. I am hoping I get noticed and get this scholarship, so my parents don’t have to worry about money. I applied for this scholarship because as a first generation student of a low-income family, I would like to be able to go through college without stressing my parents out due to any financial obstacles that may appear. I know that they have a little money saved up for my education but I believe that they should save it more for their health as they get older. This scholarship would help my parents out a lot.
