  • Scholarship Description
  • The New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund provides financial assistance and support services (e.g. counseling, tutoring, and developmental course work) to students from educationally and economically disadvantaged backgrounds who attend institutions of higher education in the State of New Jersey. These grants are renewable based upon continued eligibility. Forty-one of New Jersey's community colleges and public and private four-year colleges and universities participate in the EOF program. However, the actual number of available spaces at each college or university is limited. Because EOF is a campus-based program, each campus is responsible for student recruitment, selection, program services, and its own specific criteria for EOF admission and program participation. Application is completed by submitting the FAFSA. For more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.

I am applying for this scholarship because I come from a low income family, and my minimum wage job wont cover all of the expenses, especially during times like this. I don't want to be deep into dept and would take anything that helps.

I would like to apply for this scholarship but I do not believe I would qualify for it. I believe in the Educational Program and I want to teach kids. I believe if I get this scholarship I'd do academically well and make the most of it at college.

The chance to achieve and move forward in a career that is growing everyday would not only benefit myself, but also those who are seeking attention. In continuing my education, I can also show my eleven-year-old daughter that I am capable of juggling both work, school, and her. Finishing school as a single parent is a goal, I have set my self and with this scholarship I will be a step closer.
