  • Scholarship Description
  • The Women With Promise Scholarship Program began in 2018 as part of our commitment to make a difference in the lives of North Texas women. Our goal is to offer women the opportunity to begin or restart their journey toward a college degree. Support is available for full or part-time students from Dallas and Collin counties attending or planning to attend educational programs at accredited institutions of higher learning in Dallas or Collin counties. Also, they must have a nonprofit organization as a sponsor (ie Genesis Women's Shelter, Young Life, Agape, Promise House, etc). First priority candidates are women who have the greatest emotional and financial challenges as they gain the work skills necessary to support themselves and/or their families. Our funds target women who are in desperate financial situations and need both an education and our funds to assist them in developing skills to elevate their future work opportunities.

Scholarships are awarded to assist with tuition, books and fees and generally range from $250 to $5,000. Scholarship funds are paid directly to the institution prior to the start of the course. The number of scholarships awarded per semester or term is dependent upon the number of sponsors and donations received. Applications are taken on a rolling basis so apply today! For more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.

Remembering 9/11

September 11, 2020

by Izzy Hall

Today marks the 19th anniversary of the devastating September 11th terrorist attacks on the United States of America. We honor those who lost their lives in the attacks on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon, as well as the first responders who gave their lives rescuing survivors, and the passengers of Flight 93 who thwarted the hijacker’s plans. The events of September 11, 2001 touched the lives of all Americans and redefined a generation. Now, even in the midst of another national crisis, we feel it is appropriate to take the time to remember this tragedy. [...]
