Scholarship Description

Education is vital to the growth and future of every community. Because of this, the Saginaw Community Foundation administers a variety of scholarship programs for high school, community college, university and vocational students. Since awarding our first $500 scholarship in 1987, the Saginaw Community Foundation has awarded more than $8 million in scholarships. Scholarship Details

  • Designed to assist students with visual or physical handicaps.
  • Aims to support handicapped students from Saginaw County in obtaining a college education.
  • Reflects the founders' commitment to educational accessibility.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a graduating high school senior or an enrolled college student.
  • Must be a resident of Saginaw County.
  • Must be visually or otherwise physically handicapped.
  • Must be enrolled full-time.

Application Process

  1. Submit proof of Saginaw County residency.
  2. Provide documentation of visual or physical handicap.
  3. Demonstrate full-time enrollment status in a higher education institution.
  4. Showcase scholastic record, financial need, and overall involvement in community, school, and work activities.
