As part of the Foundation’s mission to develop leaders who transform the world, the Legacy Scholars Undergraduate Program provides merit-based scholarships and leadership development opportunities to full-time undergraduate students pursuing an education at colleges or universities who, like its namesake, Phillips University, are presently or historically affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Scholarship Details
- Scholarship Amount: Up to $9,000 annually
- Renewability: Scholarships are renewable annually
- Participating Institutions: Barton College, Bethany College, Bushnell University, and more (see list below)
Eligibility Criteria
- Student Level: Rising first or second-year undergraduate students
- University Affiliation: Attend colleges or universities historically affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
Application Process
- Apply for admission to one of the participating institutions listed below.
- Be accepted and enroll as a full-time undergraduate student.
- Participate in leadership development opportunities, including the Annual Leadership Conference.
- Create a Volunteer Leadership Project to make a positive impact on your campus or community.
In addition to the scholarship, the program provides leadership development opportunities and connections to a cohort of students from throughout the country. The two key program requirements include attending the Annual Leadership Conference and developing a Volunteer Leadership Project, which makes an impact on a student’s campus or community.
Awards are up to $9000 annually and are renewable annually. Students must be rising first or second-year students at on of the following colleges or universities:
