The Ohio Counties Scholarship is sponsored by the County Commissioners Association of Ohio Research and Educational Foundation. Founded in 1991, as a not-for-profit charitable foundation for the County Commissioners Association of Ohio (CCAO), the CCAO Research and Educational Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization that obtains grants and donations to provide the high-quality information, tools, and training for our members and the people of Ohio.
Scholarship Details
- One $2,000 scholarship available in each CCAO District
- Payable upon confirmation of attendance at an educational institution
- Intended for students planning careers in public service in Ohio
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be attending a university, community college, training program, or vocational school in Ohio
- Intended for students planning a career in public service within the state
Application Process
- Submit a complete application by the deadline, Friday, May 3, 2024
- Ensure all application requirements are included in one email or mailed packet
- Participate in a brief presentation with your Board of County Commissioners if selected
Throughout the state, there will be one scholarship offered to students in each CCAO District (Central, Southwest, Northwest, Northeast, and Southeast). The award amount is $2,000 and is payable to the student when our office has received confirmation of your attendance at a university, community college, training program or vocational school. Applicants should plan on a career in public service in Ohio.
