The Rose City Scholarship is for female high school seniors in the Portland Metro Area (Multnomah County) planning to enter a four-year college or university. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA or 525 GED score. Applicants must also submit a typed 500-word essay that addresses your plans for the future and why you should receive our scholarship. Also please submit official high school transcript and/or proof of GED score and two written recommendations (preferably from a teacher, minister, employer, or community leader).
The inaugural Pi Alpha Zeta Scholarship was awarded in 2001. The scholarship's name was changed to the Oregon Dove Scholarship in 2007 in honor of the Sorority’s symbol of the dove and the location of the chapter. The Pi Alpha Zeta Chapter reviews scholarship applications and awards the scholarship to students based on the quality of the application, student need, and community involvement. The goal of the scholarship is to encourage higher education among local high school students by supporting the efforts to attend a four-year college or university.
