Is a resident of the Alle-Kiski Valley; Is a graduating senior high school student from a school located in the
Alle-Kiski Valley; Has a documented financial need for schooling; Has been accepted into a Bachelor of Science Degree Nursing program at an accredited university or college, or into a Registered Nursing program at an accredited School of Nursing; Is of African-American descent.
Scholarship Details
- One-time award of $2,500.
- Intended for African-American students pursuing nursing.
- Supports enrollment in Bachelor of Science Degree Nursing or Registered Nursing programs.
Eligibility Criteria
- Resident of the Alle-Kiski Valley.
- Graduating high school senior from the Alle-Kiski Valley.
- Demonstrated financial need for schooling.
- Accepted into an accredited Bachelor of Science Degree Nursing program or a Registered Nursing program.
Application Process
- Complete the scholarship application in full.
- Attach an acceptance letter from the college, university, or school of nursing you plan to attend.
- Include a copy of your high school or GED diploma.
- Provide a financial aid letter from the college, university, or school of nursing.
- Submit a brief essay about yourself.
All scholarship awards are provided by check to the educational institution’s financial aid office and made payable to both the institution and the student. All awards MUST be used for tuition, tuition-related fees, room & board (only when provided by the educational institution), books, and other mandatory educational expenses.
