Scholarship Description

Friends of Zayne Adams -aka- FOZA, Inc. Scholarship for Maternal Mental Health Awareness is committed to supporting women and families from communities who directly experience the loss of life due to maternal suicide. This scholarship will be awarded to a student who has lost a parent due to maternal suicide. We especially seek to serve Black, Latinx, and Indigenous undergraduate students in the USA attending an accredited 4-year institution, 2-year community college or trade School. Applicants must be African American/Black, Hispanic American/Latinx, or Native American/Indigenous and be a US citizen, permanent US resident. Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and be classified as a graduating high school senior, or college freshman, sophomore, or junior in the academic year during which the scholarship is awarded. Will submit a 500 word essay “Why Community Service Is Important to Me.” Award winners agree to have their name, essay excerpts and photo/video posted on the FOZA Website.
