Scholarship Description

The Laura Fuoss Memorial Scholarship honors the memory of a founding member of the Morton Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW). Established in 1978 and named in Laura’s honor in 1983, the scholarship supports women furthering their education beyond a bachelor's degree. With a strong legacy of helping women pursue careers in fields such as law, medicine, education, and the arts, the $1,000 award is now endowed through the Morton Community Foundation to ensure continued support for future generations.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a current resident of the Morton School District, a Morton High School graduate, employed in Morton, or a Morton AAUW Branch member
  • Must be in good academic standing
