Eligibility Information:
• Students must reside in the specified regions to be eligible.
• The award is for NEW undergraduate first-year or transfer students to the University.
• Recipients are automatically considered; no separate application is required.
• The award cannot be combined with the Provost’s Award.
Award Consideration:
First-Year Students:
• Complete your application by November 30 for the following academic year (summer/fall) semester or the immediately following spring semester.
• Select a Commonwealth Campus as one of your choices on the application for admission.
Transfer Students:
• Complete your application by May 1 for the following academic year (summer/fall).
• Select a Commonwealth Campus as your first-choice campus on the application for admission.
• Choose a Commonwealth Campus major/pre-major on the application for admission.
Renewal Criteria:
• Enroll at any Commonwealth Campus.
• Maintain good academic standing (cumulative GPA of 2.0) by the end of each academic year.
• Complete a minimum of 24 credits per academic year.
Note: Students with offers of admission to University Park or World Campus are not eligible for this award.
Awarding Timeline:
Eligible students will be notified of the award during aid awarding in early February for the summer/fall semester. Spring admits and transfer students will receive awards on a rolling basis.
